Hometown

I come from a very small town called Grant, AL. To give you an idea of just how small it is we have one red light and one caution light. I like my little town because I know about everybody that lives there. My graduating class of 2005 only had 65 people in it. It is very close community were everybody knows everybody jut like the song. There is not realy a lot to do there but there are towns nearby that have lots of fun things to do. I really enjoy my little town and cant ever imagine living in a big city.

Wow Destiny that sounds cool. The place where my house is only has one caution light and two stop signs, Parrish, AL. However, I don't really know anyone there because I go to church, school, work, and basically live in the next town called Jasper which is considerblly bigger but still not huge. I love my town also. As you said even though Jasper has several red lights, a mahor new highway (corroridor x) many resteraunts and a small mall everyone still knows everyone. Our town is very close knit within the communitites. I love that you don't have to expalin your whole life story to people because they already know :) I do not know where life will take me but I would not mind moving back to Jasper to have a carreer as an educator since that's where my family and life long friends are. They are a big support system to me, plus I love my church there and miss being able to attend it. However, I plan to become very involved in and make the best of wherever life takes me. :)

Thats very interesting girls...
I'm from a small town too, it's called Pleasant Grove and it is right outside of Birmingham. I love being in a small town too, because just like Destiny said, everybody knows everybody! I enjoy running into friends at the grocery store, or waving to all the cars that pass on the street. I really enjoyed being involved in the community and church all throughout high school, and now I am involved as much as time allows.

I learned from this project how technology and editing a video is very useful. I also learned that working together makes a lot of difference rather than working alone. I learned how to make caramel apples and caramelization of sugar! I like the rugrats one the on with the yak that was very intresting it made you want to watch them because it was very entertaining and not boring. They edited and made the video very cute. Their voice was well projected throughout the video so you were able to hear them real well. I think using video's in classrooms will get the students more involved with what we are learning. They will be able to come up with videos on their own where they will have to do research on their topic and work together as a group. Other kids will be able to learn as we share videos that other kids were able to do!
